Part-time Bookkeeper Job Opening in Ottawa, ON - The BM Group Recruitment 2017
BM Group, recently renovated and opened a beautiful store-front accounting office located downtown, minutes from the canal at 469 Elgin Street in Ottawa. We are looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper to start immediately . This position has the possibility of becoming full-time.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- General accounting functions including posting of sales and expenses, journal entries;
- Processing of payroll; and,
- Processing of government remittances such as HST, GST, QST, WSIB, EHT and source deductions.
-College / University education in accounting or equivalent related experience;
-Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word;
-Knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software;
-Ability to work under minimal supervision to meet deadlines;
-Great attention to detail;
-Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; and,
-Strong organizational skills. Pay rate to be determined based on education and/or experience.
