The Kwinana alumina refinery was commissioned in 1963 and is the first of Alcoa’s three Western Australian alumina refineries. The refinery is situated on a 1,000-hectare site within the Kwinana Industrial Area, 22 kilometres south of Perth. The refinery implements a wide range of world-leading technology innovations that continuously improve its alumina production and environmental performance.
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Asset Integrity Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Kwinana Refinery.
The Senior Asset Integrity Engineer is a key member of the Engineering Team which supports the safe operation and maintenance of the Refinery equipment and processes. The role is specifically responsible for supporting compliance with the Dangerous Goods Regulations by ensuring the implementation of suitable maintenance strategies for all applicable equipment. Within this aspect of the role, the successful candidate will provide expert knowledge to the engineering team in the development of maintenance strategies and will ensure compliance to these strategies by monitoring and escalation.
The Senior Asset Integrity Engineer is also responsible for the management of the Site Infrastructure Maintenance programme which includes civil and structural infrastructure, local rail sidings and the Refinery Port.
To ensure your success in this role, you must possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering and have the ability to communicate at all levels. Ideally a Chartered Engineer, you must have a demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health and Safety and experience in a plant engineering environment. Previous experience in maintenance, reliability or plant engineering will be highly regarded, as will be experience in heavy process industries. You will be self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills, and have a sound track record in pro-active problem solving. Your use of initiative and a desire to continuously improve business performance will be utilised in this dynamic team environment.
