Qualifications: The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and WordPress is imperative
Superior customer service and interpersonal skills are essential, in part for the effective execution of reception duties
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong team membership and participation skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to set priorities
Ability to effectively represent the Schools mission, interests, collaborative spirit and social vision to the public
Must be able to work independently with some supervision from the Director to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
Must be an effective team member, communicate coherently and promptly with others, and respond well to requests and inquiries from other staff members. This requires initiative; the ability to create and maintain systems that organize tasks, and ensure they are completed in an appropriate fashion; the ability and willingness to solve problems as they arise; and the capacity to work under strict deadlines
Ability to communication effectively with faculty, staff, contract instructors, visiting appointees, alumni, and members of the general public
Education and Experience: The above is normally acquired through the completion of a University degree plus two years of related administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment.
